The Best Troupe Alternatives in 2026

Troupe let a group vote on where to go and what to do. It appears to be gone. Here is what to use instead.

If your group planned with Troupe, you may have noticed that it is gone. The app that let friends vote on where to go and what to do there no longer has a website or an App Store listing.

JetBlue Travel Products, part of the airline, launched Troupe in 2022 as a free app for making group decisions before you book. Friends could suggest, vote and comment on dates, destinations, activities and stays, answer RSVPs and polls, and keep notes and a message board for each trip.

Is Troupe shut down? It appears so. As of October 3, 2026, its website no longer loads and its App Store listing is gone. A newer app with a similar name is not the same app.

The good news is that everything Troupe did, another app now does, and some go further. We make one of them, so we have tried to be fair: each app below is described from its own site and store listing, checked in October 2026.

What Troupe did, and what to look for

Votes on activities and stays

An app where everyone votes on real places, not on a list one person typed up.

Polls on dates and destinations

Polls or a short survey the whole group answers before anything is booked.

RSVPs

Invitations with a deadline, so you know who is really in.

A message board for each trip

Notes or a chat that stay with the trip, instead of getting lost in the group chat.

No single app copies Troupe exactly. The alternatives fall into two kinds: apps for deciding before the trip, with polls, surveys and RSVPs, and apps that also plan the days once the group has decided.

The short answer

SwipeSights

Polls in the browser, guests without an account

WePlanify

RSVPs and surveys before anything else

Let's Jetty

Vote on ideas, then plan a route with many stops

Stippl

Plan Harmony

The alternatives

SwipeSights

Full disclosure: we make this one. SwipeSights picks up where Troupe's votes on activities left off: everyone votes by swiping on real places in the city, and the votes become the plan.

Like Troupe

  • Everyone has a say: right to like, up for a must-see, left to skip
  • Friends swipe from a link, without the app or an account
  • See what everyone loved, place by place

Beyond Troupe

  • The plan is built from the votes: days grouped by area, each in walking order, around opening hours, with meals in between
  • A must-see counts for more than a like, and is the last thing cut from a full day
  • Split costs: who paid, and who owes whom, in 15 currencies
  • Hotels ranked by how far you would walk to the plan

Missing: Polls on dates or destinations. You choose the city, then the group decides what to do there.

Price: Free: unlimited trips, the plan opens 3 days, groups of up to 3. Trip Pass from $12.99 or Year Pass from $29.99: every day, groups of up to 20, multi-city, offline and a PDF.

Works on: iPhone and the web (no Android app yet)

Best for: Groups who know where they are going and want everyone to choose what to do there.

WePlanify

WePlanify is the closest match to Troupe's polls. It runs in the browser, so there is nothing to install, and guests join from a link without an account.

Like Troupe

  • Polls, single or multiple choice, optionally anonymous
  • Guests join from a link without an account
  • A day-by-day itinerary everyone can edit

Beyond Troupe

  • A shared budget with settle-up in the fewest transfers, in more than one currency
  • AI turns a one-sentence brief into a draft itinerary

Missing: A phone app. It runs in the browser, in English and French.

Price: Free while in beta; premium plans for higher limits are mentioned.

Works on: The web only

Best for: Groups who decide by poll and do not want to install anything. WePlanify's site

Let's Jetty

Let's Jetty covers the part of Troupe that came before any plan: invitations, RSVPs and surveys, for the organizer who gathers the group first.

Like Troupe

  • Invitations with RSVP deadlines
  • Trip surveys on destination, dates and activities
  • Shared notes and checklists

Beyond Troupe

  • A shared itinerary for the events you add

Missing: A plan built for you. Events go in by hand.

Price: Free; a paid upgrade per trip adds unlimited surveys and custom invitations.

Works on: The web (add it to your home screen)

Best for: Getting answers and commitments from the group before anything is planned. Let's Jetty's site

Stippl

Stippl is a route and day planner with group voting built in, with unlimited co-planners on the free plan.

Like Troupe

  • Suggest ideas and vote on them together
  • Shared packing lists

Beyond Troupe

  • Expense splitting and settle-up, free
  • Plan the route and the days yourself, hour by hour
  • AI itineraries (2 free) and route optimization on Pro

Price: Free plan; Pro from €4.99 a month (varies by country).

Works on: iPhone, Android and the web

Best for: Trips with many stops, where the route between them matters most. Stippl's site

Plan Harmony

Plan Harmony is a shared trip calendar with votes and a chat, so it also stands in for Troupe's message board.

Like Troupe

  • Votes on the plans you mark as optional (each voter needs an account)
  • A trip chat with threads and reactions

Beyond Troupe

  • AI suggests activities you can accept into the calendar
  • Expense splitting on Pro

Price: Free plan (10 events and 5 uploads a trip); Pro $2.99 a month, $9.99 a year, or $6.99 for one trip.

Works on: The web

Best for: Groups who like a shared calendar and voting on activities. Plan Harmony's site

Pilot

Pilot is a free planning workspace, best on a laptop, with stays you can book inside it.

Like Troupe

  • Hearts on items, a light kind of voting
  • A basic group chat for each trip
  • Real-time co-editing with no limit on group size

Beyond Troupe

  • A drag-and-drop itinerary, plus an AI itinerary builder
  • Stays to book in the app; eSIMs and eVisas

Missing: Finished phone apps. The iPhone and Android apps are in early release.

Price: Free, with optional paid add-ons and services.

Works on: The web, plus early-release iPhone and Android apps

Best for: Planning and booking stays in one free workspace. Pilot's site

Three more you will see on older lists: Wanderlog is a shared itinerary and map you edit together, Frienzy keeps a group in sync once the plan exists, and Splitwise only splits costs. None of them lists voting, so they replace other apps more than they replace Troupe. All three are in our comparison of group trip planner apps.

Starting again after Troupe

Rebuilding a trip takes less time than it sounds, as long as the decisions happen in the right order.

  1. Settle the dates and the city first. A poll or a short survey does it. Our group trip survey has the questions, and how to decide where to go has a fair way to vote.
  2. Create the trip and share one link. Everyone joins from the same place, instead of five screenshots in the chat.
  3. Let everyone vote on what to do. Real places, each person on their own phone, nobody choosing for the whole group.
  4. Build the plan, then book. Tickets, tours and a stay close to where the days actually go.
  5. Keep the costs with the trip. Log who paid as you go, and settle up once you are home.

Frequently asked questions

Is Troupe shut down?

It appears so. As of October 3, 2026, Troupe's website no longer loads and its App Store listing is gone. A newer app with a similar name is unrelated.

Who made Troupe?

JetBlue Travel Products, part of JetBlue, launched Troupe in September 2022 as a free app for planning trips as a group: suggesting, voting and commenting on dates, destinations, activities and stays.

What is the best free alternative to Troupe?

It depends on which part you used. For voting on what to do, with the plan built from the votes, SwipeSights is free for groups of up to 3, with the plan open for 3 days. For polls with guests who need no account, WePlanify is free while in beta. For RSVPs and surveys, Let's Jetty is free, with a paid upgrade per trip. Pilot is free too.

Which app lets a group vote on where to go?

WePlanify's polls and Let's Jetty's surveys both cover the destination and the dates. SwipeSights is for the next step: once the city is chosen, everyone votes by swiping on the places to see there.

Is there a Troupe alternative for Android?

Stippl has an Android app, and Pilot has one in early release. WePlanify, Let's Jetty and Plan Harmony run in any phone's browser. SwipeSights is on iPhone and the web, and friends can swipe from the trip link in any browser.
